Sanger sequencing
Verify a defined region before moving your experiment forward. Send purified plasmid DNA or a PCR product, and discuss the primer and sequencing direction with our Hong Kong team.
Where this fits your work
- Clone screening and insert-junction verification
- Checking a targeted PCR product or a known sequence change
- Forward and reverse reads when both directions are needed
Build a complete project brief
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Template | Plasmid or PCR product; state estimated length and purification method. |
| Primer | Provide primer name, sequence and direction; confirm whether template and primer should be separate. |
| Quantity | List samples and reactions separately: one sample may need multiple reactions. |
| Acceptance | Concentration, volume, buffer and tube/plate format are confirmed before dispatch. |
Define what you receive
- Discuss AB1 chromatograms and text or FASTA sequence files in the quotation.
- Specify whether alignment to a supplied reference and an interpretation summary are required.
- Agree how weak signals, mixed peaks and repeat attempts will be handled.
These are quotation checklist items, not a guarantee that every listed output is included. Ask us to define the exact scope before ordering.
A local conversation. A clearly scoped project.
Share your sample count, intended output and preferred schedule. Bio-Dream coordinates the quotation and Hong Kong delivery arrangements.
Prepare a project enquiryQuestions before you begin
Does one Sanger read verify the whole plasmid?
Usually not. It reads from a primer across a limited region. Whole-plasmid verification may need several reads or a long-read approach.
Can mixed peaks identify all components of a mixture?
A mixed trace alone does not reliably resolve every component. Share the sample history so purification, clone selection or an alternative method can be considered.
